Jim grew up as an Army brat — the son of a soldier who served 30 years in the United States Army. He followed that path himself, commissioning as an Army officer and serving 21 years before retiring in December 2012. Christina grew up the same way — an Army brat who became a military spouse, moving with Jim through the assignments, the deployments, and the decisions that military families navigate every few years. That shared experience is not a marketing angle. It is the foundation of everything The Moreno Group does.
Christina earned her real estate license in 2011 — while Jim was still serving — and began building what would become Leavenworth County’s most reviewed real estate team. Jim joined her in 2016 after four years leading a military contract following his retirement. Together they founded The Moreno Group Real Estate Professionals — a veteran-owned boutique brokerage based in Leavenworth County, Kansas, dedicated to serving the military families, veterans, and community members they have called neighbors for decades.
Jim and Christina have been married for 16 years. Together they have six children, two Labrador Retrievers, and a life they genuinely love showing up for — in Leavenworth County and at their home in Costa Rica.
