During our latest trip to Costa Rica from 17 – 31 August 2023, we spent another few days in La Fortuna. This area was wonderful back in February and it proved to amazing again. While the rain wasn’t as constant as in the Celeste Waterfall area or Monteverde, storms did blow through almost every afternoon and rained for 1-2 hours.
We did hike down to the La Fortuna waterfall again, but this time it was during heavy rains. Luckily, the rain stopped as we reached the waterfall base and were able to enjoy the beautiful setting and swim in the crystal-clear water.
